Since 2011, more than 60 Alamo Square trees have died, and many more of our wonderful, majestic trees are reaching the end of their natural lifespan. We think it makes sense to replant the trees when they die of old age, so we are raising funds to do just that.
That’s why we need you.
Donate right here, and ASNA will match each dollar for dollar until we hit $50,000.
This is a unique opportunity: while the park is closed we can buy, plant and establish the trees that will be the park for the generations to come. This will benefit the overall health of our park.
For over four years, ASNA members have worked closely with Rec and Park, environmental consultants, and a Landscape Architecture firm to develop a thoughtful reforestation plan.
Rec and Park has generously agreed to plant the trees purchased with community funds during the park closure, which is why we need your help to make this happen in the next 100 days! Please make a donation today!
